Guys and Dolls

A fine roundup of "fatal" men and women. These are the guys and dolls of Italian song, a long string of characters who from the start to the turn of the twentieth century have copiously enriched the history of Italian song. It starts with the patriotic gestures that describe the heroes and heroines (often in spite of themselves) of the First World War, and moves on to Petrolini's famous Gastone, left out only because it would have been too banal to include him in this playlist; it then goes to the mid-‘50s and the famous "femme fatale" by Fred Buscaglione. A long story, and to tell the truth, often riddled with strange characters, characters that we have selected randomly to entertain you in these forty-five minutes of listening, strictly under the banner of disturbing essences and the irresistible pomades of a bygone era. Happy listening.
