Cartoline dal Golfo playlist

Postcard from naples

The extraordinary gems of the Gulf of Naples have always been celebrated by the Neapolitan song, creating a series of “postcards” that travelled the world. From the acclaimed Cartulina 'e Napule about a migrant’s nostalgic feeling for his homeland, to songs about happy or unrequited love stories set against the backdrop of iconic locations of the Neapolitan landscape, particularly in the incomparable area comprising Naples, Ischia, Capri and Sorrento. This playlist includes memorable songs like Piscatore 'e Pusilleco or Torna a Surriento, as well as little known charming pieces like Lo Scugnizzo of Porto d'Ischia or Isola'e Capri.  Just as famous are some of the voices featured, from the great Beniamino Gigli to Miscel, from Gilda Mignonette to Roberto Murolo, all evoking the magnificence of the places that have made the Neapolitan song famous in the world.
