Dalla guerra partigiana all’antifascismo playlist

From the partisan war to anti-fascism

The memory of the Resistance has produced various works by singer-songwriters, but it has also inspired rock, pop and folk artists. A reflection on the war of liberation began in the 1990s, uniting widespread feelings of anti-fascism and representing a last gasp for that political song that exploded in the 1960s in the wake of the protest movements. The anthology includes songs composed during or shortly after the Resistance, re-proposed in versions updated by independent artists (Modena City Ramblers on a text by Italo Calvino, Ustmamò), stories of partisans and those who were on the wrong side (Bubola, Sambene, De Gregori), stories of partisan vendettas (Jannacci) and positions taken on April 25th (Dalla, Venditti). It closes with a very recent (2019) Alloisio who makes ironic fun of the regurgitations of neo-fascism in a cabaret-like piece taken from the show “Resistenza Pop”.
