Florentine songs After the Neapolitan and the Roman repertoires, the Florentine folk songs are probably the best known part of the vernacular production. However the Tuscan idiom, prevalent in most of Tuscany, is not really a dialect, but the very source of the national language that was officially adopted after the unification.
