Pietro Garinei (1919, Trieste – 2006, Rome) and Sandro Giovannini (1915 – 77, Rome) brought prestige to the musical comedy made in Italy. This duo becomes a trio if associated with the name of Gorni Kramer ( 1913, Rivarolo Mantovano [Mantua] – 1995, Milan) who authored many of the scores. The anthology includes songs from the most famous comedies of the 1950s, when musical theatre dominated the entertainment scene before it lost its supremacy to TV shortly thereafter.
